About British Columbia

British Columbia is located on the Pacific coast of North America. It is Canada's third largest province and comprises 9.5% of the country's total land area. The province is nearly four times the size of Great Britain, 2.5 times larger than Japan and larger than any American state except Alaska.

British Columbia is blessed with amazing diversity and a temperate climate. There is an equally amazing variety of places to see and things to do across the province. Mountains to gaze at or climb. History and art to discover. Endless beaches to comb. Cosmopolitan cities to explore. Moss-carpeted rainforests to hike. Sensual spas and tantalizing gastronomic delights in which to indulge in. Warm-water lakes in which to play. Rivers to ride. And so much more.

For some quick facts about British Columbia check the BC Stats - Ministry of Labour and Citizens Services and BC Tourism web sites.
