What's involved with hiring a foreign workerTaking advantage of RoomServiceCanada.ca™ and FoodServiceCanada.ca™ services is simple for both employers and potential employees. Participating employers just have to complete an application for the positions they need to fill. Potential employees need to apply to participate and meet the screening requirements. All the remaining details including worker recruitment and screening, paperwork and documentation, and settlement assistance, are taken care of by the RoomServiceCanada.ca delivery team. It's that simple! To start the process, please contact our Recruitment Consultant to obtain a Recruitment Agreement. Once a signed Recruitment Agreement has been received you will be required to complete a Recruitment Needs Assessment form. As part of the Recruitment Needs Assessment, you must identify any advertising you have done to recruit Canadian workers for the position(s) you need filled. You should include any advertising such as: national/local newspaper ads (e.g., The Province) or other online job positing sites. Once the Recruitment Needs Assessment is received by us we will begin preparing the Labour Market Opinion (LMO) application for submission to Service Canada. The foreign worker candidates we select for your consideration have attended training workshops hosted by us and have been interviewed to ensure that they possess the skills and qualities needed to be an excellent addition to your team. We will send you resumes and video clips of potential candidates for your review and selection. When you have made your decision an Employment Contract with the selected candidate's personal information will be completed by us and sent to you for review. RoomServiceCanada.ca will arrange for the safe arrival of your new employee to your business. We are responsible for providing the employee with a settlement package and for taking care of any other anticipated or unanticipated needs they may have.
